JobMaker Hiring Credit claim period ends soon

The JobMaker Hiring Credit scheme’s second claim period ends on 31 July 2021.

If you employed additional young employees between 7 January 2021 and 6 April 2021, you may be eligible to claim JobMaker Hiring Credit payments.

  • register – using ATO online services, Online services for business, or through a registered tax or BAS agent
  • nominate your eligible additional employees – by running payroll events through your Single Touch Payroll (STP) enabled software
  • claim – using ATO online services, Online services for business, or through a registered tax or BAS agent.

If you hired new eligible employees after 6 April 2021, you may be eligible to claim for the third JobMaker period.

The JobMaker Hiring Credit scheme is an incentive for businesses to employ additional young job seekers aged 16–35 years. Eligible employers can access the JobMaker Hiring Credit for each eligible additional employee they hire between 7 October 2020 and 6 October 2021.
